LOCAL LEWISHAM POLICE TACKLE ILLEGAL E-BIKES SEIZING 10 WITHIN 2 HOURS

A local operation took place recently within the Lewisham area to tackle a wave of illegal E-Bikes that have appeared on Lewisham roads.

These E-bikes are linked to dangerous riding on the roads, nuisances in neighbourhoods and anti-social behaviour. The operation took place throughout the day with trained officers checking E-Bikes that may not fit the legal requirements to ride within the UK. After 2 hours of checks, officers managed to seize up to 10 E-Bikes that did not meet the UK's standards for legal riding.

Officers in Lewisham continue to combat anti-social behaviour in the area.
